Southington native, Sean Michanczyk, has earned a BFA in Illustration from the Univ. of Hartford Art School. His work ranges from a wide array of subject matter and techniques commonly used by the old masters. From still life to figures in egg tempura, oils, acrylics and watercolor. Sean's work is constantly evolving, as a result of his influences, which include Jacque-Louis David, Maxfield Parrish, Graydon Parish, Donato Giancola and Salvador Dali. Sean's technique pays homage to them while still retaining a new contemporary edge. Work of his has been shown in the New Britain Museum of American Art, Joseloff Gallery and numerous local venues throughout Connecticut.
